Please open the page (see page tabs on the right hand side of this page) labeled The History of Hesse Seewald to get the back story to my Imagination. I have just loaded this information onto the blog this afternoon.
The Kingdom of Hesse Seewald is located in central Germany, lodged between the states of Hesse Kassel to the west, Hanover to the north and Saxony to the east. King Georg Ludwig II is aligned with Prussia. His son, Kronprinz Friedrich, commands the Hesse Seewald Heere and leads it to glory against its arch enemy, the Duchy of Saxony. See the Who's Who in Hesse Seewald for the list of characters in this story.

Portraits of the King and the Erbprinz
Here is a picture of King Georg Ludwig (left) and the Erbprinz Friedrich (right) in their military uniforms:
The Royal Fife & Drum Corps of Hesse Seewald
King Georg Ludwig II is a lover of martial music and so naturally he spares no expense to have his own fife and drum corps. Rumor has it that he sends his agents all over Europe looking for recruits, who are either willing or, ahem, coerced into joining the corps. Other states have been known to try and curry favor with the king by sending him their most promising musicians for the corps.

Welcome to Hesse Seewald
This is actually a test site where I can experiment with layout ideas and other concepts to use in my main blog, Der Alte Fritz Journal.
As I build up my imagination Army of Hesse Seewald I will post pictures here and perhaps develop the back story and continuing story lines for the kingdom.
More later.
